The deadline for submitting abstracts to the Philosophy of Computer Games conference in Istanbul 13-15 November has been extended to Monday 25. August. Details can be found in the Call for Papers.
The Philosophy of Computer Games 2014 Conference will be held in Istanbul on 13-15th of November 2014, hosted by Istanbul Bilgi University, Santral Istanbul Campus.
The purpose of the Philosophy of Computer Games conference series is to initiate an investigation into how current research on computer games touches upon philosophical issues. In line with this purpose, the conference is highly interdisciplinary; drawing together researchers from very diverse fields including game studies, philosophy, design, semiotics, communication and media studies, aesthetics, sociology, psychology, anthropology, and engineering.
The conference is a collaboration between Istanbul Bilgi University, Faculty of Communication; The Gamephilosophy Network and Digital Games Research Assocation (DiGRA) Turkish Chapter.
